The Shining

TheShining_poster

A poster I designed for my friend Shane’s exhibition.

It’s been a while!

Since starting work at Kid’s CBC I haven’t had much time to work on sketch cards so I thought I’d post some random artwork I’ve been doing.

The Howling Moon

The Howling Moon

Acrylic on Masonite, 9×12″

Another piece for Hero Complex Gallery, this is based on the Joe Dante directed werewolf movie ‘The Howling’ from 1981, starring Dee Wallace. I saw it as a kid and it scared the woolly Irish pants off me! X’O

Movie poster – HOLY HELL

Poster - Holy Hell

I designed this poster for my friend Ryan and his Grindhouse movie ‘Holy Hell’, currently in production. Holy Hell is an over-the-top, sexually deviant, blood-drenched, hardcore Grindhouse film about an abused priest hunting down the gangsters who killed his parishioners. Check out the Facebook page !HERE!

Weapon of Choice – The Shining

Weapon Of Choice - The Shining
This is my piece for the ‘Weapon of Choice’ exhibition by the Hero Complex Gallery, which exhibits in Los Angeles this weekend. The theme revolves around prominent characters of fiction, historical reference, or pop culture, and their relationship with their iconic “weapon,” that one thing that is inextricably tied to their character. I chose Jack Torrence and his axe from Stanley Kubrick’s movie adaptation of Stephen King’s novel ‘The Shining’. You can visit the Hero Complex Gallery website [here] and view the amazing artwork in this exhibition. I feel honored to be counted among them! :)
